Birds and hummingbirds
- At the finca
Hummingbirds visit the garden flowers and mornings arrive with birdsong from the trees. Bring binoculars, a coffee and some patience; the finca does the rest.
Experiences
Each experience says where it happens and whether it needs asking. Nothing is a fixed package or timetable: message us and we'll fit it to your dates.
It happens inside the finca, at your own pace: birds, veg patch, terrace, kitchen, fire pit and camping.

Hands in the soil.
Raised beds, dark soil and a round gazebo behind. If you'd like to get your hands dirty, ask whether there's planting or harvesting during your stay.
Your office comes with a hammock.
Upstairs there's a hammock, rocking chairs, a big wooden table and a view of mountain jungle. Good for reading, for doing nothing, or for a few hours of work with coffee at hand.
The day starts at the table.
A homemade breakfast is included every morning and local coffee is on all day. If you'd rather cook, the shared kitchen is fully equipped.
Some evenings, around the fire.
On the lawn there's a stone ring for fires under the stars. The finca has hosted gatherings with local musicians in the past; ask us whether anything is planned during your visit.
Falling asleep to the river.
There are tent options for one and for two, on wooden platforms with a shared bathroom. Breakfast, kitchen and gardens are the same ones the whole house enjoys.
Things to talk through first: massage, quiet practice, art and gatherings. Availability always on request; some examples are past activities.
Time to let your body unwind.
Our Instagram profile mentions therapeutic massage. Availability, who gives it and the price are confirmed on WhatsApp before your visit.
Breathe. Nobody's in a hurry here.
The gardens and lawn have room to stretch, meditate or do yoga at your own pace. If you'd like a guided session, ask us whether one is possible during your visit.
A house painted by many hands.
The deer in the mural, the painted windows and the colours of the house tell you who we are. We've held workshops and gatherings with the community; if something's on during your stay, we'll tell you.
Outside the finca, with local operators or on your own. We'll advise; we don't sell tours or transport.
Palms that touch the clouds.
The valley of wax palms, Colombia's national tree, is about 11 km from Salento's main square by Willys jeep. We'll help you plan the day; you hike on your own or with local operators.
From bean to cup, on its own soil.
Salento sits in the heart of the Coffee Cultural Landscape, and several nearby farms open their plantations to visitors. We'll recommend options; you book the tour directly with each farm.
The countryside is made for walking.
Right here in Boquía are the Santa Rita waterfalls, and near Salento there are reserves such as Kasaguadua. We'll point you in the right direction for your pace; routes depend on the season and each operator.
At a gentle pace, with local hands.
Horseback rides are part of local tradition and of Cocora Valley. In Salento, craft shops fill Calle Real with colour.
High mountains, with respect and a guide.
From Salento, via the Cocora road, you reach the Quindío–Dulima sector of Los Nevados National Natural Park. Entry is only with a registered guide or operator, mandatory insurance and an advance booking.
