Well-being & community

Art, workshops and community

The deer in the mural, the painted windows and the colours of the house tell you who we are. We've held workshops and gatherings with the community; if something's on during your stay, we'll tell you.

A house painted by many hands.

A yellow-walled lounge corridor with a mural of a deer whose antlers are the branches of a blue tree, purple windows, a bookshelf, checked sofas and hammocks.

Art here isn't in a gallery; it's on the walls. The yellow corridor with its deer-and-tree mural, the painted windows in the rooms, and corners full of books and hammocks are part of everyday life. Over the years the house has also opened its doors to workshops and gatherings with people from the vereda.

The art that lives in the house

The deer-and-tree mural in the yellow corridor, sofas, a small bookshelf and hammocks. Some of the room windows are hand-painted.

A good spot for sketching, writing or reading on a rainy afternoon.

Past activities

Past activity: a dreamcatcher workshop with mothers from the local community.

Past activity: Barranquero Fest on 2 December 2023, a day of live music with artists from the region.

We mention them as examples of what the house has hosted, not as a calendar.
