The invitation

Come and stay a little longer.

Posada Aguanile is the house at Finca La Diana, in the Boquía countryside: a family-run finca just outside Salento where days begin with birdsong and end in a hammock.

People come to rest, eat well, meet others and — if they must — work a few hours with the forest as a backdrop. We're not a resort or a party hostel: we're a house with a garden, a veg patch, a fire pit and a lot of green.

What guests remember most:
  • the homemade breakfast
  • Sandra and the way she welcomes you
  • the calm and the birds
  • help planning day trips

  1. 01 Wake up · early

    Here the alarm clock sings.

The birds start before you do. Take a coffee out to the garden: hummingbirds work the flowers while the valley clears.

    Birds & hummingbirds
An iridescent green hummingbird feeding at a red-and-yellow tubular flower among purple buds (video frame).
  2. 02 Breakfast · morning

From the kitchen to the table.

Homemade breakfast is included (published hours: 7:00–10:00; please confirm on arrival). Afterwards the shared kitchen is yours for whatever you fancy cooking.

Home-cooked dishes on the kitchen counter: grated carrot, salads and a chopping board with a knife and chopped herbs.
The shared kitchen with a brick breakfast bar and tiled counter, four wooden stools, wooden cabinets, a fridge and windows onto the garden.
  3. 03 Explore · mid-morning

One bus ride from Salento. A whole different pace.

Salento is about 45 minutes away on foot along a country path, or a short hop by bus or taxi. Willys jeeps leave from its square for Cocora Valley, which is a separate day out.

  4. 04 Breathe · afternoon

    Your office has a hammock.

Wi-Fi for a few hours of work, long wooden tables and the hammock a few steps away. Or no work at all: a book, the terrace and the forest in front of you.

A long rustic wooden table on the covered terrace with red tiles, a person seen from the side using a laptop by the railing and, behind, a hammock and a shelf of crafts.
  5. 05 Dusk · nightfall

    You come back with stories.

The garden turns pink, conversations warm up and, some nights, so does the fire pit. Night arrives slowly.

A garden with a lawn, young trees, tropical plants and a wooden picnic table under a pink-and-violet dusk sky, hills to the left.

The finca up close

Every corner has something painted, planted or hung.

A yellow-walled lounge corridor with a mural of a deer whose antlers are the branches of a blue tree, purple windows, a bookshelf, checked sofas and hammocks.
A covered terrace with a bamboo railing, a blue-and-white hammock, rocking chairs, hanging plants and a black dog asleep on a purple rug, facing green forest.
A person planting in a raised bed of dark soil while another hand holds a red tray of small potatoes; a round gazebo and forest behind.
A smoking fire in a ring of stones on the lawn, a wooden bench, banana leaves overhead and the house in the background.
An orange-and-pink sunset over the valley seen from the finca, a tall slender palm against the clouds and the garden in front.

As the day ends

Here the day says goodbye slowly.

From the garden the sky catches fire and the palms stand out against the clouds. Stay and watch: there's homemade breakfast tomorrow.

Frequently asked questions

What people usually ask.

Is breakfast included?

Yes. Every morning we serve a homemade breakfast included with your stay, and local organic coffee is available throughout the day.

Published hours: 7:00–10:00. Please confirm when booking. If you have allergies or a special diet, let us know before you arrive.

Is there Wi-Fi?

Yes, free Wi-Fi. In our Hostelworld listing we describe it as fast and reliable for remote work.

We don't publish speeds because they vary with weather and usage. If you need a specific figure, ask us.

Can I work remotely from the finca?

Plenty of guests do. The covered terrace has a big wooden table, a hammock and a green view, and coffee is on through the day.

It isn't a coworking space with booked desks. If you have important calls, tell us and we'll help you find the quietest corner; bring mobile data as a backup.

as listed

Can I bring my pet?

Dogs live at the finca, and a past event was announced as pet friendly, but we don't have a published policy for guests' pets.

Ask us on WhatsApp before booking and we'll confirm whether it's possible, in which accommodation and on what terms.

to be confirmed

What are check-in and check-out times?

Check-in from 14:00 to 23:00 and check-out by 12:00, per the house rules published on Hostelworld.

Some older listings said 11:00 check-out; we follow Hostelworld and will confirm when you book. If you're arriving outside those hours, message us first.

How far is Salento and how do I get into town?

The finca is in the vereda of Boquía, about 1.5–2 km from central Salento. On foot it's around 45 minutes along a country path.

According to the posada, buses to Salento pass frequently on the main road (roughly every 15 minutes), and you can also take a taxi. We'll send directions for the last stretch on WhatsApp.

as listed

How do I book directly?

Message us on WhatsApp at +57 321 833 9088 with your dates, number of guests and the accommodation you're interested in. The form on this site writes the message for you.

That message is an enquiry, not a confirmed booking: we'll reply with availability, rate and terms. If you'd rather book on a platform, we're also on Hostelworld.

What activities are there?

At the finca: birds and hummingbirds, the organic garden, the terrace, fire-pit nights, camping, and space for self-guided meditation or yoga. Massage and workshops by enquiry only.

Beyond the finca we'll help you plan Cocora, coffee farms, hikes, waterfalls and horseback rides with local operators. We're not a tour operator: we recommend, we don't sell tours.
